In my 23 years as a professional organizer, I have heard "I've never used this, but I may need it someday" countless times. If you're dealing with a lot of clutter, be realistic and honest with yourself about the likelihood that you'll use the item. Ask yourself, if you needed it in the future, how difficult or expensive would it be to replace?
